Welcome to Research on Job Layoffs
Hello, We are researchers at the University of Windsor and are conducting a study looking at the experiences of people who have been recently laid-off.
We are interested in: 1) how being laid-off affects people’s psychological and physical well-being; 2) how people are going about trying to find new jobs; and 3) if people have managed to find a new job after experiencing a layoff, whether the new job is meeting their expectations.
The survey takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. To be eligible for the study, you can be either employed or unemployed. You do not have to complete the online survey all at once. You will be given the opportunity to save your responses and return to the survey at another time. However, you must have experienced a job layoff in the past 2 years.
If you choose to participate, you will be given the option to enter a draw for the chance to win a cash prize. The cash prizes available are $50 and $25.
Thank you for your interest in the study. For more information or to go to the questionnaire, push the “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.
